Prime Minister Narendra Modi said “‘Chamak-Dhamak’ is not the only meaning of development for us. Development means the empowerment of the Dalits, Garib, Pichhre, Adivasi, Vanchit, and Women (Mothers, Sisters) for us. PM Narendra Modi at Varanasi on Thursday said that there is only a combination of dynamism, progressiveness, and sensitivity that would bring growth in a real sense, and raised the pitch for inclusivity in development.

What does PM Narendra Modi have to say about the empowerment of women, poor and downtrodden in Varanasi?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the meaning of the empowerment of the poor, deprived and scheduled caste/scheduled tribe communities but not the mean “chamak-dhamak”(glitter), on Thursday. The Prime Minister said after inaugurating the laying foundation stone of projects worth Rs. 1,800 crores at the Sampurnanand Stadium that “The development does not mean only the chamak-damak for us. The development means the empowerment of “Garib, Dalit, Vanchit, Pichhre, Adivasi, mothers and sisters for us”. He also added to thank the people of Uttar Pradesh and Kashi for a good response to the BJP government, to vote for us most, and help to retain the BJP government in the state.

He said at the public meeting after inaugurating all the projects at the Sampurnanand Sports Stadium here on Thursday “Modern infrastructure boosts dynamism. Education, skill, environment, sanitation, promotion of trade, the establishment of new institutions, linking places of religion and spirituality with modern grandeur ensures progressiveness in development”. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 13 projects worth Rs 1,220 crores and 30 developmental projects worth Rs 553 crores on Thursday at Sampurnanand Stadium, Varanasi.

The projects in which “Akshaya Patra Kitchen” included of worth Rs. 14 crores state-of-the-art, in which the kitchen cooking mid-day meals for primary school students about one lakh students studying in government schools of the Varanasi. PM Narendra Modi also laid the stone of the project tourism-related worth Rs. 152 crores, road projects, bridge projects worth Rs. 765 crores, and some other projects worth Rs. 303 crores.

PM Modi said, including especially that the coming Shrawan month will be the first following opening of KV Dham, “Development in all sectors and rejuvenation of Kashi Vishwanath Dham have increased the pilgrims and tourism massively of the city and state. It is also creating new opportunities in business and employment sectors for the people of the Kashi and Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh”. There will be a huge increase in the development of the state as the people visiting Kashi to see the KV Dham, have increased the number of pilgrims and tourists.
