India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently launched Matrushakti Yojana in Gujarat for lactating and pregnant women.
In Gujarat Prime Minister launches ‘MUKHYAMANTRI MATRUSHAKTI YOJANA 2022’ in Gaurav Abhiyan at Vadodara.
For lactating and pregnant women both central and state governments execute various kinds of schemes under this mukhyamantri matrushakti yojana. Nutritious food and financial assistance are provided to the recipient, under these schemes. The government of Gujarat launches this matrushakti yojana scheme on 18 June 2022. Through this scheme, nutritious food will be given to lactating and pregnant women.
A lot of problems are faced by women during pregnancy like they are suffering from nausea, malnutrition, anaemia which hinders the foetus during pregnancy and also leads to poor health of the infant or newborn. so, this scheme has been launched in order to deal with these problems. This will give some cures to premature delivery and stunting or dealing with these problems. Better and good nutrition will be provided to newborn child and mothers to become healthy and by this scheme, beneficiaries also become self-dependent.
This project will increase the strength of the development of the city and country, and the project’s net worth of 21000 crore rupees in this scheme.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the massive investment in maternal health, low-income housing, connectivity, and higher education will help Gujarat’s industrial development.He also stated that the opportunities will be increased in all sectors for women, in all stages of their lives to empower women government has developed programs.
“Vadodara is a Sanskara city. This is why Vadodara has chosen for the celebration of matrushakti because it gives sanskaras like a mother or family.”
PM states that “Rapid development of women and their empowerment is equally important for India’s rapid development in the twenty-first century.” Today, India makes plans and decisions with women’s needs and aspirations in mind.”
- It will give attention to the critical conditions of maternal and child health in the first 1,000 days from the starting of pregnancy to two years.
- Under the Integrated Child Development Scheme there are various benefits for around 7 lakh lactating mothers and pregnant women who are registered in Anganwadi, this scheme provides “take-home rations” to these pregnant women in which included nutrient-rich chickpeas, tur dal, and fortified groundnut oil.
- They easily reached all over the state and tribal areas and carried out the nutritious meals for pregnant and lactating tribal women.
- At Anganwadi, they will provide 2 Kg of chickpeas, 1 Kg of tur dal, and 1 Kg of edible oil free of cost to these pregnant and lactating tribal women, under this scheme.
