The fourth Synergy Conference is held in New Delhi between the Indian Army and DAD. A one-day meeting which was co-chaired by Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS) Lt Gen BS Raju and controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) Shri Rajnish Kumar was attended by the senior commanders of the Indian Army and Defence Accounts Department(DAD).

The primary motive of the conference included contemplation on the AGNIPATH scheme and getting pay and allowances for Agniveers scheduled for timely implementation of a system.
On the agenda were also issues about improving the functioning of the Pay and Accounts Office (PAOs) to deliver much better services to non-commissioned officers and junior officers of the Indian Army. Concrete action plans for the future were formulated in consultation with senior officers of both branches of the Indian Army.
In addition to harnessing the power of technology, the CGDA shared the vision of the department to re-engineer the bill-processing and payment system to make it a more efficient and effective one. He outlined the various initiatives of DAD such as DARPAN (Defence Accounts Receipt, Payment, and ANalysis) and the upcoming Centralised Pay System. He also focuses on the support needed for the achievements of the objectives by the Armed side.
