This contains all the government universities of Rajasthan in all states. They are being chartered, licensed, or accredited by the appropriate Indian Higher Education-related Organization. All universities offer at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor’s degrees) or at least two-year postgraduate degrees (masters or doctoral degrees). They all deliver courses in a traditional way, face-to-face, non-distance education format. Here is the list of all universities:-

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurdeva University, Jodhpur
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurdeva University is also known as Rajasthan Ayurveda University. This university is situated in the Jodhpur state of Rajasthan. It was established on 24 May 2003. The university is affiliated with about 42 colleges or institutions of Ayurved, Homeopathy, and Unani. In 2019, Abhimanyu Kumar was appointed as Vice-Chancellor of the university.
Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur
Jai Narain Vyas University is also known as the University of Jodhpur(Government Universities Rajasthan). It is inaugurated by the president of India, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, on 24th August 1962. University became the first in its state to receive an “A” grade ranking by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in 2005. The university took under four colleges of Jodhpur which are run by the state government.
Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Sanskrit University, Jhalana Doongri, Jaipur
Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Sanskrit University is popularly known as Rajasthan Sanskrit University. This university was established on 6 February 2001, and the first Vice-Chancellor of the university was Madan Mishra. This university was established by the Government of Rajasthan to promote Sanskrit education among the youth.
Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur
Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology was established by the government of Rajasthan(Government Universities Rajasthan) on 1 November 1999. This university is the bifurcation of Rajasthan Agriculture University, Bikaner. In 2019, Narendra Singh Rathore was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the university. The university comprises Agricultural Research Stations, Agricultural Research Sub Stations, Dry Land Farming Research Station, Livestock Research Station, and Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer
Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University is also known as the University of Ajmer. It was established on 1 August 1987. It ranks among the top 10 universities in the country and the university has given affiliation to more than 200 colleges in north India.
Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner
Maharaja Ganga Singh University (MGSU)is also known as the University of Bikaner(UOB). It was established in the year 2003. The Vice-Chancellor of the Maharaja Ganga Singh University is Vinod Kumar Singh and the President of the university is Mr. Sharwan Ram. This university runs almost all types of professional courses.
Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur
Mohanlal Sukhadia University is also known as the University of Udaipur. It was established by an act in the year 1962 to fulfill the needs of higher education in Southern Rajasthan. University was accredited at “A” Grade by NAAC Bengaluru, with a CGPA of 3.11, it was renamed Mohanlal Sukhadia University in memory of politician Mohanlal Sukhadia in 1984, and in 1964 it was named as University of Udaipur.
National Law University, Jodhpur
National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ) is a public law school that was established under the National Law University, Jodhpur, Act, 1999 authorized by the Rajasthan State Legislature. The founder of the university was N.L. Mitra and the chancellor of the university was the Chief justice of the Rajasthan High Court. The main objective of the establishment of the university is to increase the knowledge of learning, teaching, and research in the field of law.
Rajasthan University, Jaipur
The University of Rajasthan is one of the oldest universities in India which is situated in the city of Jaipur which is the capital of Rajasthan. This is a public and state university and was set up on 8 January 1947, as the University of Rajputana it renamed its current name in the year 1956. Rajeev Jain was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the university. The university has jurisdiction over two districts Dausa and Jaipur.
Rajasthan Technical University, Kota
Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) is an affiliating university in the city of Kota in the state of Rajasthan. It was established by the government of Rajasthan in 2006 to increase the education of technology in the state. This university is affiliated with about 130 engineering colleges and institutions.
Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur
Rajasthan University of Health Sciences is a state university is situated in the city of Jaipur which is the capital of Rajasthan. It was established on 25 February 2005 under The Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (Act of Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha), 2005 (Act No. 1 of 2005) and started working in January 2006. It affiliates the medical institutions of the state. Dr. Sudhir Bhandari was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the university.
Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner
Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University(SKRAU) is formerly known as Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner. The university was formerly a part of the Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur became separated in 1987 through Rajasthan Agriculture University, Bikaner Act, 1987. It was renamed after social reformer and freedom fighter Swami Keshwanand in 2009. In 2019, Raksha Pal Singh was appointed as Vice-Chancellor of the university.
University of Kota, Kota
The University of Kota is a public university in Kota. It was established in 2003 through the University of Kota Act, 2003 which is authorized by the Rajasthan State Legislature and approved by the Governor of Rajasthan. Neelima Singh was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the university.
Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Kota
Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University(VMOU) is formerly known as the Kota Open University which is an open university in Kota, Rajasthan. It was established in the year 1987. This university mainly offers courses in the humanities, commerce, library science, and informatics. It is distributed throughout Rajasthan and includes regional centers in Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur, and Bharatpur and several study centers in other cities, and a special center in New Delhi. In 2019, Ratan Lal Godara was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of VMOU.
